What we collect
When you fill in the contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address and message. When you fill in the membership form, we also collect the type of membership and the membership category you choose, the name of the association if applicable, your address, phone number, language of communication, your answer about the mailing list and your support for the Council’s mission, and, if you provide them, your gender, age group, field of activity, the other languages you speak, your availability to volunteer and your areas of interest, how you heard about the Council and why you want to join. We record the date of your consents.
Why
To process your membership request or answer your message and, if you become a member, to invite you to the Council’s activities, including those in your region. Optional information helps us get to know our members; it is never published. If you agree to the mailing list, we also send you the Council’s news and invitations by email.
Where this information is kept
It is stored in the website’s database and sent by email to the Council’s team. Only the people who handle requests can access it.
How long
For as long as needed to handle your request, or for the duration of your membership.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or leave the mailing list at any time, by writing to info@cppaanb.ca.
Cookies
The website only stores your language choice on your device, to take you straight to your language.
Visit statistics
To know which pages are read, the site counts visits with Umami, a statistics tool that uses no cookies. It records the page viewed, the site you came from, your browser, operating system, type of device and language, and your approximate country, region and city. Your IP address is not kept and nothing identifies you.
